Safety Tips

It is critical to double check that every entry door is locked and include pet doors. Also lock your garage door and unplug the electrical component. 

It is extremely important that all exterior lights are in working order to make the appearance as if someone is home. 

Unplug appliances that will not be in use. This will prevent electrical fires and power surges.  

Close blinds but leave a few slightly open in rooms that wont expose your valuables. Have a timer that turns the lights on at dusk and turns them off mid morning. 

Have your neighbor pick up your mail. Any  newspapers- have those stopped until your return as well. 

Cut your grass before you go and if you are leaving for an extended period, have a lawn service cut your grass or shovel your walkways.
